As a charity, Operation Orphan was founded in 2003 after a trip to Uganda, where they dreamed of establishing a programme that would help children who have lived their lives being orphaned. Since then, they have grown from strength to strength and are now a multi-location charity based in the UK and the USA.
The existing Operation Orphan website had served the charity well for a number of years but had started to lose strength in terms of a return on investment. A refocus of purpose was required to ensure that the website was being used to maximise its potential.
The new website utilises all of the original content, but from a user experience - it is totally unrecognisable. We have now incorporated a highly visual and interactive world map, showing exactly where funds are being used. We have also revised the donation process slightly, but to a massive effect.
